RISK MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RMAC)
RMAC has nine members and was initially formed by the Board of Supervisors on August 27, 1974. It is responsible for providing the Board of Supervisors and the Chief Executive Office with the benefit of professional risk management and insurance counsel and citizen objectivity. Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and the Chief Executive Office.

GARY A. BACIO
Mr. Bacio, appointed to the Committee by Supervisor Gloria Molina, has been a member since 1990. Mr. Bacio has a private civil defense litigation practice in El Monte, serves as a Judge Pro Tem in the County of Los Angeles Superior Court, and is a member of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Mexican American Bar Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the El Monte/South El Monte Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of Loyola Law School. His clients include LAUSD and other governmental agencies.
DIANN P. CORRAL
Ms. Corral, appointed to the Committee by Supervisor Yaroslavsky, has a background in commercial insurance claims adjusting and workers' compensation benefits administration. She is a certified self-insurance administrator, a member of the Los Angeles Valley College Citizens Committee to oversee Proposition A funds, and President of the Laurel Plaza Neighborhood Association.
FAY FEENEY
Ms. Feeney, appointed to the committee by the Chief Executive Officer, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM). She has over 20 years of national account multiple-line risk control and safety management consulting expertise. Ms. Feeney is President of Envision Strategic Group, a consulting practice that helps reduce loss costs for clients with operations in the Arts & Entertainment and Hospitality & Golf industries. Ms. Feeney holds a B.Sc. degree in Health Science & Safety, with an emphasis in Industrial Safety from San Diego State University.
JESSE B. JOHNSON, JR.
Mr. Johnson, appointed to the committee by Supervisor Burke, is a Diversity Outreach Officer and former City of Long Beach Purchasing Director with a background in risk transfer and contract oversight. He graduated with honors from California State University, Los Angeles. He is a member of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the Long Beach City College Advisory Board, the Los Angeles Minority Business Opportunity Committee, National Forum for Black Public Administrators and former Vice President of the California Association of Public Purchasing Officers, South Bay Chapter.
KAREN D. OXMAN
Ms. Oxman, appointed to the committee by the Chief Executive Officer, is Vice President of GNW Evergreen. She holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, is a member of Board of Directors of the Los Angeles CPCU Chapter, and was President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association of Los Angeles. Her specialties are personal and commercial property and casualty insurance, with expertise in Directors and Officers liability, ocean cargo, fine arts, pollution liability, and leases. Ms. Oxman graduated from UCLA Summa Cum Laude.
ROGER B. PLOTKIN
Mr. Plotkin, appointed to the committee by the Chief Executive Officer, is Assistant Treasurer, Corporate Risk Manager for Beckman Coulter, Inc. in Fullerton. He is responsible for the world wide risk management function of this leading manufacturer of biomedical testing instrument systems. Mr. Plotkin is past President of the Los Angeles Chapter of Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS), prior Chairman of Manufacturers Alliance (MAP) Risk Management Council, former President of the Risk Management Research Council, is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
ROLAND R. SARLOT
Mr. Sarlot, appointed to the committee by the Chief Executive Officer, is a General Partner of Sarlot and Rhein, a real estate development partnership. He has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years, most recently as Vice President of Johnson and Higgins (Marsh, Inc.). Previously, he was special agent for the Continental Insurance Companies as well as past President of the Blue Goose insurance fraternity, past President of the Southern California Fieldmen's Association, and member of the Los Angeles Scottish Rite and Composite Lodge.
GAVIN HACHIYA WASSERMAN
Mr. Wasserman, appointed to the Committee by Supervisor Antonovich, is managing partner of the law firm of Wasserman & Wasserman, LLP, where he is involved in analyzing risk and insurance coverage for clients against a broad spectrum of potential liability sources. Mr. Wasserman is the immediate past president of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Barristers. He is a former member of the Environmental Quality & Energy Conservation Commission for the City of Torrance. Mr. Wasserman earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago and his B.A. in political science from the University of California at Berkeley.
