Purpose
- The CEO
Employee Recognition Program (ERP) is designed to
encourage CEO employees to make a positive difference either
individully
or as part of a team.
- The program
recognizes achievements or accomplishments that contribute to
the overall objectives of the CEO.
Charter
- Develop,
implement, and manage CEO Recognition Program
- Provide individual
and team recognition
- Promote a
culture recognizing achievements or accomplishments contributing
to the overall objectives of the CEO.
- Align with
the CEO and County Strategic Plan
Committee Design and Leadership
- Committee
shall be comprised of up to two representatives from each branch,
four
representatives from the offices of the CEO, one
representative from CEO Personnel, one chair, and two
vice-chairs (through June 2006).
- Committee
members shall serve a two-year term with staggered end
dates to ensure continuity.
- Representatives
unable to fulfill a term due to transfer, retirement, or other
factor shall be
replaced for the remainder of
their term by a CEO employee
from the same branch or within the offices of the CEO.
- Each representative
shall have one vote on all matters before the committee with
the exception of the chair and vice-chairs
(through June 2006);
final approval shall be made by the chief deputy administrative
officer for all recommendations
related to award nominations and program budget; the chief
deputy administrative officer shall break all ties for any
matters that would otherwise require
their final approval.
- Chair and
vice-chairs shall be responsible for scheduling meetings, reserving
rooms, processing meeting
notes, program
budget,
and other administrative matters.
- Representatives
are responsible for coordinating meeting attendance and other
business with
their branch counterpart;
representatives
from the offices of
the CEO shall likewise coordinate with other representatives
from the offices of the CEO.
- Representatives
shall not vote on any matter related to award nominations for
which they
have been nominated
Linkage to CEO Strategic Plan / LA County Strategic Plan
The Employee
Recognition Program shall be aligned with the strategies
and objectives of the CEO Strategic Plan and County Strategic
Plan.
