The
CEO Employee Recognition Program (ERP) Committee hosted
the first Employee Recognition Awards
ceremony on Thursday,
March 31, 2005. The recognition program started in 2004 as
a “twinkle
in the eye” of CEO David Janssen and Chief Deputy Sharon
Harper. With a charter in hand and a survey of recommendations
from employees, the committee gathered quickly and proceeded
to devise a plan to recognize the best employees in the department.
The program
recognizes and honors those individuals and/or teams who
have demonstrated exceptional performance in the delivery
of countywide and CEO services. The selection of the award
winners is made by the ERP Committee. Nominees are evaluated
on their ability to create a positive and motivating
work environment, their ability to initiate and create solutions
to solve priority assignments, their ability to exemplify
the high standards of the CEO, and their ability to make outstanding
contributions that enhance public awareness of the department’s
mission and goals.
Employees are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals
and/or teams for the award categories of Service Excellence,
Workforce Excellence, Outstanding Leadership and Exceptional
Teamwork.
