Accelerating Equity: Powering Up Our Strategic Plan Event Recap
On September 17, 2024, ARDI hosted its Accelerating Equity: Powering Up Our Strategic Plan event at the Earvin “Magic” Johnson Recreation Area. During this event, we celebrated the implementation of the Countywide Racial Equity Strategic Plan and accelerated efforts to create an anti-racism policy agenda in the County of Los Angeles. Event Highlights:
- We celebrated our Countywide wins and Achievements Toward Equity, hearing from Public Works Director, Mark Pestrella, and Arts and Culture Director, Kristin Sakoda, who highlighted the important efforts of their departments.
- A fireside chat with Angela Glover Blackwell and Library Director, Skye Patrick emphasized our shared vision and commitment to ensuring equity is a lasting effort in the County.
- Participated in a group gallery walk highlighting the important equity efforts of all of our departmental partnership.
- Engaged in interactive activities to both enhance mindfulness and energy throughout the room.
- Launched our ARDI Book and Media Club!
