Info – ACE

The Information Hub – Analytics Center of Excellence (Info-ACE) supports two strategic missions: improving the delivery of County services through data integration and sharing, and supporting data driven decision making and increased information maturity through analysis, research, and platforms.

Info-ACE manages the County Information Hub, established to create a holistic county client view, provide comprehensive client-centric information, establish a repository of countywide client profiles and service histories, and successfully enable access to a 360 degree view of county clients.

What We Do

Information Management

Information Management – including administration of the Information Hub as well as development of applications such as CHIP.

Performance Management

Performance Management – including Justice Metrics Framework and Office of Child Protection Metrics.

Research & Evaluation

Research and Evaluation – including ad-hoc research and evaluation projects across departments and the Chief Executive Office (CEO) (e.g. HI, DPSS).

Events

The Data Science Forum and Women in Data Science Squad (WDSS) events are also hosted by the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) Team.

Countywide Prevention Metrics

Development and operationalization of metrics for prevention in the County’s Child Protection system

Evaluating the Cross-Sector Impact of MAMA

Evaluation of the short- and long-term cross-sector impact of MAMAs, a program providing enhanced pre- and post-natal services and cross-sector referrals for low income pregnant women in Los Angeles County.

Homeless Initiatives Employment Taskforce System Mapping

Create system and business process maps to understand the service model for the job-seeking homeless client.

Information Maturity Assessment

Partner with outside consultant to conduct information maturity assessments and develop roadmaps in eight county departments

Justice Metrics Framework

Development and operationalization of a performance metrics framework for the County’s justice reform efforts

Cannabis Dashboard

Partner with Office of Cannabis Management to develop storyboards around key themes related to cannabis use in Los Angeles County using data from departments across the county.

Women and Girls Initiative Phase 0 Assessment

Partner with WGI to conduct a rapid needs assessment to identify pilot project opportunities across departments using WGI’s Strategic Framework.

ERIS

Managed the development of the Emergency Response Information Service (ERIS), which provides child abuse investigators access to critical information during investigations.

CHIP

Oversee the Countywide Homeless Information Portal (CHIP), which gives homeless case workers the ability to see critical information during outreach.

Housing for Health Evaluation

Evaluation of cross-sectoral impacts of Housing for Health, a program to house homeless individuals to improve their health outcomes.

AB 109 and Prop 47 Service Analysis

Conduct an analysis of specified AB 109 and Proposition 47 populations to identify strategies for improving rehabilitative treatment and justice outcomes.
