Advancing Pride Justice and Launching “Care with Pride” Resources Site
Over the past few years, the County of Los Angeles (County) has acted urgently to support our LGBTQ+ communities. On June 4, 2024, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Care with Pride: Affirming and Expanding the Gender Health Program motion, sponsored by Supervisor Solis and Supervisor Horvath, directing CEO-ARDI to host and curate a website where LGBTQ+ residents can access information and resources on gender-affirming care, social services, and other programs offered by various County departments.
We are excited to announce the launch of our new page, Advancing Pride Justice, and are working with Countywide Communications to foster public awareness and promote the County’s resources and information. In addition to the Care with Pride motion, Countywide initiatives have included:
- Initiating an LGBTQ+ Community Safety Plan;
- Creating the County’s first-ever LGBTQ+ Commission;
- Addressing the inequities faced by Transgender, Gender Diverse, and Intersex (TGI) communities; and
- Continuing to affirm the County’s commitment to providing gender-affirming and inclusive care and resources for everyone in LA County.
The County is committed to providing the care and resources needed to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQ+) residents.
