GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
The Government Relations Section serves as the County’s liaison to elected officials, legislative staff and government agencies at the local, state and federal levels. The Section develops and manages strategies for strengthening the County’s education and engagement to government and community partners. These activities include but are not limited to: advocacy briefings and educational tours; coordinating the Board of Supervisors’ advocacy visits; and other activities aimed at increasing awareness and support of the County’s programs and policy priorities. Government Relations also serves as a central point of contact for government agencies and other officials that are seeking to connect with the County and its 34 departments, and related agencies. Finally, the Section coordinates the administrative functions of the Branch, including those related to budget, contracts, procurement, and web presence.
